How to make hard-boiled eggs
Many of you may be using up your leftover eggs. But if you’re starting from scratch, here is how boil eggs to create perfect eggs every time. The goal is to end up with soft egg whites and creamy yolk.
- Place a single layer of fresh eggs into a pot and fill with water until they are just covered.
- Bring the water to a rolling boil.
- As soon as they start boiling, start a timer for 7 minutes.
- After 7 minutes, turn off the stove and let the water settle down.
- Drain the water and then let cold water run over the eggs. (You could also give them an ice bath to stop the cooling)
