How to make lemon pepper chicken with a pressure cooker and air fryer.
The Ninja Foodi combines the cooking power of a pressure cooker and an air fryer. So if you have either or both of those appliances, you can still make this delicious meal.
Begin by prepping your chicken however you typically prep. I like to rinse mine and then pat dry with a paper towel.
Next, mix together the dry seasonings with the lemon zest.
Rub half of the seasoning blend between the skin and meat of the chicken breast
Put the lemon halves inside of the chicken and tie the legs together with cooking twine.
Pour the water into the Ninja Foodi cooker pot.
Place the prepped chicken into the crisping basket. Make sure to tuck the wings under.
Cover with the pressure cooker lid and set the valve to sealing.
Pressure cook for 22 minutes. Once the cycle is complete, do a natural release for 5 minutes before doing the quick release.
Brush the chicken with the melted butter and sprinkle the remaining seasoning over the top.
Cover with the crisping lid.
Air Crisp at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
